Opening a restaurant is one of the most complicated construction projects a business owner can take on. Building codes, health department reviews, engineering, contractors, inspections — most first-time (and plenty of second-time) owners tell us the process feels like a black box.
It shouldn't. Here's exactly what happens at each stage, what you'll have in hand at the end of it, and where we'll be standing the whole way.

Opening & beyond
The design relationship doesn't have to end at opening. We offer operational analysis, brand and marketing support, and event programming guidance — and when it's time for location two, we already know your brand.
STEP 5

Construction
We don't hand you a set of drawings and disappear. We help you competitively bid the project, work with builders we trust (or yours), monitor the work in the field, answer the contractor's questions fast so the job doesn't stall, and walk the punch list before you accept the space.
You walk away with: a built restaurant that matches the drawings — and passed its inspections.
STEP 4

Plans & permitting
The stage everyone dreads — and the one we've built our reputation on. We produce the full permit set: architectural drawings, engineering coordination (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), Title 24, and the food service plans the health department reviews. Because we do this exclusively for food & beverage projects, we know what plan checkers look for and we answer their questions before they ask.
You walk away with: approved permits from the building department and health department — the legal green light to build.
STEP 3

Concept & design
This is where your idea becomes a place. We start with your concept and your menu — not with a template — and design the experience around it: the entrance moment, the seating flow, the bar as a stage, lighting that does the work your decor can't. As a firm founded by someone who has owned and operated venues, we design for the Saturday-night rush, not just the rendering.
You walk away with: floor plans, 3D visuals you can show partners and investors, and a design that's buildable on your budget.
STEP 2

Feasibility, before you commit
Best time to call us: before you sign the lease.
Not every space can become the restaurant you're imagining — and finding out after you've signed is the most expensive mistake in this business. We evaluate the space against your concept: zoning and entitlements, utility capacity, hood and grease-trap feasibility, seating yield, and a realistic read on what the buildout will demand. If you're choosing between spaces, we'll help you pick the one that won't fight you.
You walk away with: a clear go / no-go read on the space, and a realistic picture of scope before you're locked in.
